Nanowrimo and Other Exciting Things

November is just around the corner, and the plot ideas just keep coming. I've started to play my second novel in my series, in hopes that I can finish another novel. This year it will be difficult to reach the goal of 50,000 words, because I have a full schedule, and plenty of distractions. However, I know I can make it, if I set my mind to it.

So what is the big idea this year? Well here's the plot so far. It was a day like any other in the country of Cadar. Kyra, Queen of the kingdom, was going about her daily tasks, when she is killed by a mysterious figure. Now, it is up to Kaden, the hero of the story, to save the girl he loves, and bring her back to life. However, Kaden only has until the next full moon to do so, and the fates have decided to make him go through a series of tasks in order to prove himself worthy. Will he be able to overcome the obstacles thrown at him, or will Kyra be gone forever.
Let's get ready to write like there's no tomorrow, and finish those 50,000 words.

Change in Plans

Well..... We rearrange our trip so that I can take Drivers Ed. yay me. Now I'll be alble to parallel park and drive in reverse. I need a lot of practice. I can't wait till this summer, suddently it seems less dull.

Life At It's Finest

So....Today I was going to sign up for Driver's Ed., Well it looks like i'll be spending the summer doing absolutely nothing. You see, I would be missing almost a week of Driver's Ed. and therefore cannot sign up because they will kick me out. This sucks even though I'm missing it for vacation. Well I'll live, I hope, and look foreward to do nothing with my free time. Here's to another boring summer.

Words

Question: Why are words what they are? Why is a tree called a tree? Life called life? Why are we in such an order, and feel superior to other animals? Why does life go on as it does? Who made up words, and for what reason did they do it? Why has language formed in so many different ways, shapes and forms?

Finally!!!!

OK, so I finally read The Host by Stephanie Meyer, and I am absolutely in love with it. I even liked it more than Twilight, which is very surprising. Anyway I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone, no matter what you like to read. Now I'm out of books, and can't wait for a sequel. I hate having nothing to read.
I noticed while reading it, that Melanie Styder's initials are opposite of Stephanie Meyer. Their first and last names even kind of rhyme. I wonder if she did that on purpose, or if it was extremely coincidence. If I ever get the chance to meet Stephanie Meyer, it will be the first question I ask.

I also picked my novel back up. My mom wants me to have it finished by the end of the summer. I told her yeah right, but she is being persistent. So, I changed all the names in the first draft and started fixing it up. I have added 2389 words to my original 5234. I am trying so hard to get it finished, Hope it turns out well.

This past week, I found out that i was accepted into National Honor Society. I had 188.5 hours of community service, and am glad that I made it in. I'm getting inducted in a few weeks, and hope to continue with my community service. My goal is 300 before I graduate (a year and a half left).

Photography

Yesterday I printed some of my wounderful black and white pictures. I am absolutely in love with one I took of a sunrise. Everyone takes pictures of sunsets, but what about sunrises. I will definately have to upload it. I also found my amazing rocket ship picture and figured I might as well let the world see it. Isn't it awesome how the clouds lined up perfectly so i could take this shot. I love the colors that the sun created, and how it emphasises the picture as a whole.
The top photo is that of the Flying Dutchman, the actual Flying Dutchman. I love the way the grass is framing the bottom of the ship. Anyways, I love the Flying Dutchman, and pirates in general. If I could, i wouls sooooooooooo get married on it. actually i'd get married on any pirates ship.

5/7/09

Today I learned Many things.

1. I have 185.5 hours of community service.
2. My Novel will never be completed, i'm too much like F. Scott Fitzgerald, always editing and taking years to finish.
3. I know way too much about everyone around me.
4. I have no Idea what to get Jemma for her b-day. Maybe she could give me a hint.
5. My computer is very slow and has froze several times today.
6. My cousin had a boyfriend for 2 days before she told me she dumped him.
7. I need more music.

Geez, I haven't written in so long, I feel as if the world has changed so much. I'm trying to make up a playlist for writing, and it is not working out so well. I have added several songs, and need more that describe my novel. If any one has any songs that fit my synopsis then feel free to add to my list.

Synopsis-

War is brewing in the realm of men, between those loyal to the king and those who side with evil. A poor peasant girl by the name of Kyra believes she won't get caught up in war, but eventually everyone does. While wandering through the fields, Kyra and her best friend Aradia come across a hidden chamber where Kyra leans the truth about her birth. it becomes evident that she is the kings daughter, his heir, and she must go in search of him to return her family to the throne. On her journey, kyra meets new freinds, loses many, finds love and becomes the warrior she never dreamed she would be.

I hope it doesn't sound like any novel you've read before, and I hope no one plans on writing it.
